Welcome! I'm an Art Director who specializes in branding, lettering, and illustration.
My home city of Denton needed branding and illustration for a new urban planning project. I worked with an outside team at Mend Collective to develop the logo, colors, and illustration to promote the plan. The city loved the design, and so they licensed it for an electric box near downtown.
A good friend with a passion for philosophy started hosting salons in his house, where strangers could gather to openly discuss important topics over cocktails. The result is Drink & Think, an organized effort to gather the community in free thought and fellowship. I created the brand with a nod to the great libraries, speakeasies, and museums of the past.
Junkyard Kitchen is a ghost kitchen concept that produces loaded tater tot meals for the late night crowd. The brand leans into a mix of street art and mid-century stock illustrations to create a fun but irreverent voice. Instead of having new packaging printed, stickers would be used to cover branding from generic popcorn buckets and pizza boxes.
35 Denton is a 3-day walkable music festival programmed in the burgeoning arts corridor in downtown Denton, Texas. I designed the branding for the 2016 event, which included a new logo, colors inspired by the festival’s namesake (Interstate-35), and inspiring festival photography.
Razzoo’s Cajun Café needed creative for a limited-time offer including steaks, crab, calamari, and cocktails. Our team put together a concept we titled “Cajun Fancy”. I planned and directed the photography, which was a departure from the usual look and feel for this client.

St. Edward School is a Catholic Elementary school in New Iberia, Louisiana. I worked with them to update their brand by assessing their visual needs, redrawing their logos, and creating an identity standards guide.
First, I updated the crest to be more clean, readable, and pleasing. I did this by removing unnecessary details, improving the spaces between shapes, and using typefaces that were clear.
St. Edward’s mascot is the panda. I redrew the Panda to look younger, hold up better at small sizes, and look more contemporary. My goal was to create a logo that the students of St. Edward would love.
Finally, I designed a new stationery set, and created some mockups for a tote bag, a coffee mug, and an embroidered uniform polo.
Razzoo’s is a Cajun Restaurant that was founded in Dallas over 30 years ago. With 23 locations, this company delivers delicious food and is well-loved by its patrons. I’ve worked as the Art Director for Razzoo’s with my agency, Plein Air, for over 3 years. We’ve been given the opportunity to rebuild the brand, print, and digital design from the ground up. The result is a slightly irreverent, but always fun voice and style.
I recruited Sean Starwars, a Mississippi printmaker, to build a library of illustrations. I work with their marketing team to plan photoshoots for their quarterly offerings. This involves building moodboards, and working with a photographer and stylist to bring the concepts to life. I’ve also helped plan and shoot some commercials, working with our creative director, director of photography, and a director. I was involved in storyboarding, casting, music selection, and graphics.

Designing logos is one of my favorite things to do. This is a collection of logos I have designed, many of which feature custom lettering.
I designed this Sherlock Holmes Book Cover for Bender Bound, a company that sells books with a hidden flask inside the pages. The lettering and illustration are all custom, and it is printed with a gold foil on brown leather.
I worked with Crate & Barrel to concept and design a few products for their artist’s line. We created a Mother’s Day teacup, a set of ceramic typographic holiday ornaments, and a limited edition house ornament to raise money for Rebuilding Together.
I worked with BBDO Chicago to hand-letter quotes for Bayer Aspirin's I Am ProHeart Facebook page. The quotes were pulled from the I Am ProHeart community, a group of heart event survivors and their loved ones.
